Alamo Lookout was once home to a 1926 fire lookout tower, similar to the Weed Lookout, featuring a wood-framed observer's cabin constructed by the CCC. Today, the site is utilized by a US Air Force telemetry antenna, with only the original benchmark remaining as a testament to its former purpose. While no longer an active lookout, the historical significance of the site lies in its past role in fire detection.
