Baby Doe

Baby Doe Campground offers family-friendly camping on the eastern shore of Turquoise Lake, surrounded by a lodgepole pine and subalpine fir forest. It's a popular summer destination for boating, hiking, and fishing, with connections to scenic trails and opportunities to explore the nearby Mount Massive Wilderness Area. The campground is named after Elizabeth McCourt, also known as Baby Doe, an influential figure in 19th-century Colorado mining.
