Lakin Dam

Lakin Dam, constructed in 1925 by the McCloud River Lumber Company, is a historic day-use area known for wildlife viewing, fishing for native Redband Trout, and its significant role in supplying water to the town of McCloud. While its accessible wooden deck was recently damaged, the site offers a unique blend of natural beauty and industrial heritage, providing habitat and recreational opportunities.
