White River National Fish Hatchery

The White River National Fish Hatchery, established in 1984, is dedicated to the restoration of Atlantic salmon in the Connecticut River. It currently cultures land-locked Atlantic salmon eggs from Lake Champlain for stocking in New York, and rears lake trout broodstock for restoration efforts in Lakes Erie and Ontario. The facility is open for self-guided tours on weekdays, with guided tours available by appointment.
